1948 – 2026

A decorated United States Marine, combat veteran of Vietnam, Texas legislator, and Montgomery County Judge, Jimmie C. Edwards III devoted his life to his country and his community. Wounded in action while serving with the 1st Marine Division, he returned home with the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor and never stopped serving. 2026 Memorial Day Observance

Join us on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM as we gather in remembrance, gratitude, and patriotic reflection.

Please join us as we pay tribute to the men and women who have proudly served in our United States Military. This special Memorial Day Observance is a time for our community to come together in honor, reflection, and deep gratitude for those who answered the call to serve.

Memorial Day carries a meaning that reaches far beyond a date on the calendar. It is a moment to pause, remember the sacrifices made in defense of our nation, and recognize the courage, duty, and love of country shown by generations of American service members.

As we gather on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, we invite families, friends, veterans, and supporters of our military to stand with us in remembrance. All gave some, some gave all.

We hope you will join Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission for this meaningful observance as we honor service, preserve memory, and pay our respects to the heroes who helped protect the freedoms we hold dear.
