In Honor of Judge Jimmie C. Edwards III
Born and raised in Montgomery County, Texas, Jimmie C. Edwards III has led a life of accomplishments, sacrifice, and service to his community and nation.
Today we honor his service as the Chairman of the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission and steward of the commission’s park.

Judge Jimmie C. Edwards III
1948 – 2026
A decorated United States Marine, combat veteran of Vietnam, Texas legislator, and Montgomery County Judge, Jimmie C. Edwards III devoted his life to his country and his community. Wounded in action while serving with the 1st Marine Division, he returned home with the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor and never stopped serving. He went on to represent his neighbors in the Texas House of Representatives, serve as County Judge, and spend his later years building the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park as a permanent tribute to those who wore the uniform.
